About Baja Designs Pod Lights

The Baja Designs Squadron 2.0 is the next evolution of the brand's most trusted compact light pod. Next-generation optics give the Squadron 2.0 Sport a 35% performance increase and the Squadron 2.0 Pro a 41% performance increase over the previous generation. A redesigned aluminum housing, a redesigned gasket, and a nine-color selectable backlight complete the update, and the refined beam pattern puts more usable illumination on tight trails and in open desert.

Baja Light Store carries pods in several sizes, including the compact S1 and S2, the 3-inch Squadron, the XL and XL-R, and the larger LP series. Most pods are offered in multiple lens patterns, including spot, driving/combo, wide cornering, and work/scene, so you can build a lighting zone that covers distance and the edges of the trail. What's the difference between spot and driving/combo pod light patterns?

A spot pattern uses a narrow beam to reach farther down the trail or road. A driving/combo pattern blends driving and spot optics in a single auxiliary light, which gives you maximum trail coverage for both distance and the area near the vehicle. A wide cornering pattern adds a flattened horizontal beam that lights the sides of the trail in dust and fog.

How many lumens do Baja Designs pod lights produce?

Lumen output depends on the model. The Squadron 2.0 Sport produces 3,200 lumens at 30W, and the Squadron 2.0 Pro produces 5,921 lumens at 65W. Larger pods like the LP6 Pro and LP9 Pro produce higher raw lumens for long-distance lighting. Each product page lists the exact lumen output and available lens patterns.

What warranty comes with Baja Designs pod lights?

Baja Designs backs its LED pod lights with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and a limited lifetime warranty. Satisfaction guarantee returns on pods bought here are handled through our team, and the light must be in brand new condition to qualify. The limited lifetime warranty covers the original owner with proof of purchase, and Baja Designs does not extend its full warranty to lights bought from unauthorized marketplace resellers. Returns outside the guarantee are handled under our refund policy.

Are Baja Designs pod lights street legal?

Only pods labeled SAE or DOT are certified for on-road use, which includes the Squadron SAE, Squadron-R SAE, S2 SAE, and DOT LP6 in this collection. Off-road pods such as the Squadron 2.0 Pro and XL Racer Edition are intended for trail and off-highway use. Check your state's regulations before driving with auxiliary lights on public roads.
