The Baja Designs XL40 (D/C) LED Headlight Kit for the KTM 690 Enduro R/SMC-R motorcycles is an all-new, moto-specific LED headlight that delivers outstanding performance for trail riders, dual‑sport enthusiasts, and desert riders who need reliable visibility when daylight turns to night. Inspired by the performance of the XL80, the XL40 carries forward the same trail-proven pedigree, delivering 5,224 lumens of usable illumination to a wider range of motorcycles. Engineered specifically for dirt bikes equipped with lower-output OEM stators, the XL40 draws just 43.5W—making it a powerful lighting upgrade without a large power draw. With the low beam functionality of the XL40, riders can reduce output by 25% in low‑beam mode, producing 1,434 lumens when full output is not needed. Paired with our signature XL Trail Lens, the XL40 produces both a vertical and horizontal beam pattern with exceptional near-field and peripheral visibility. Designed for tight, technical singletrack, the Trail Lens redistributes center beam intensity to eliminate harsh hot spots, improving clarity through vertical transitions, quick elevation changes, and tight corners. The result is a smooth, evenly distributed field of light that inspires confidence in the most demanding terrain. The XL40 LED Headlight kit replaces the stock OEM headlight and comes with our Hi/Low harness, making this a plug-and-play kit for ease of installation.
