SPV Parts 7 Pin Trailer Wiring Connector for Backup Lights
MAIN APPLICATION/DESCRIPTION-
NOTE: This Adapter has a connection for reverse trigger, a connection for tail/running lights and a ground connection.
The main use for this harness is to add to our Short Rear Harness or Full Rear harness for Reverse lights with or without Red Backlights (Such as Baja Designs S2 lights or Rigid SRL Lights with Backlights).
Since these do have a ground. You can remove the single connectors from the pins and replace it with a 3 pole connector here and the pin removal tool-
NOTICE- Like anything, there are limitations. These, like the tail light adapter, accesses the factory power circuit to power reverse lights and or backlights (With the Running Lights). The tail lights and trailer wiring in modern vehicles are monitored through the vehicles computer. The computer senses power draw in amps. Usually the computers will allow a MAX of 4 to 5 amps MAXIMUM in addition before the computer turns off the circuit. It isn't a Fuse, it is the circuit. These are NOT intended to directly power larger lights or lights that draw a combined total of more than 4 or 5 amps.
It is still possible to power larger lights with the reverse trigger. However, it will require our full rear harness to the switches, a Relay a splitter and our Relay Loop adapter (Link Here)
Harness System Description-
This harness is part of our UNIVERSAL harness system. Each harness can be used for virtually ANY vehicle and ANY lighting application with the use of our many adapters and modules. Each adapter or module will simply plug into the harness to fit virtually ANY light.
For example, if you have any light such as Rigid Radiance, Scene, 360, or any other make and model WITHOUT connectors on the bare wires with the lights. You will simply add on the included matching connectors in the included kit.
If you have lights WITH connectors on them, you just add the correct connector adaptor type. Some examples of connector adapters are- Rigid Pro Series lights or Single stage lights use DT connectors. Baja Designs (For the most part) use WP Connectors. If you have a 3 wire light (With the Amber/Multicolor background) you can use the included plug pack to either add to your lights 90% of the time, or your light will most likely already have the 3 way WP connectors on them, which will match to these harnesses.
