This 6 Foot Extension is designed to add to the SPV Harnesses at the light end or final connection.
If your harness is too short to reach the area you need to get to, this extension will add 6 foot of length to the end. If you need more length, you can stack multiples of these extensions to build your own custom setup (within constraints or amp draw and wire gauge see below for details). Simple Plug N Play
MAIN APPLICATION/DESCRIPTION-
Works all SPV Parts Plug N Play Harnesses
NOTE: This 6 Foot Extension is 10AWG. 10AWG is good for up to 30 amps in most cases or just a tad more. The Weather Pack pins/connectors are also good up to 20 amps.
If you need more than 20 amps on the ONE line, what we recommend is to remove the 2 connectors that plug into each other and connect the line direct with your extension.
For example. This 10 gauge extension is best combined with our HD Light bar harness which is also 10AWG. That harness is approx 6 foot long and has a built in relay with a 40 amp fuse. It has a 3 Pole Male Weather Pack connector at the end. It also includes 3 heat shrink butt connectors to replace that putt connector in a package. In this case, you would use those to direct connect this extension to utilize the full 30 amps. This would give a 12 foot harness. Reach out to us with any questions on configuration.
On example Application for this combined with our HD Light bar harness would be to connect a large Light bar on a chase rack in a Truck Bed.
Harness System Description-
This harness is part of our UNIVERSAL harness system. Each harness can be used for virtually ANY vehicle and ANY lighting application with the use of our many adapters and modules. Each adapter or module will simply plug into the harness to fit virtually ANY light.
For example, if you have any light such as Rigid Radiance, Scene, 360, or any other make and model WITHOUT connectors on the bare wires with the lights. You will simply add on the included matching connectors in the included kit.
If you have lights WITH connectors on them, you just add the correct connector adaptor type. Some examples of connector adapters are- Rigid Pro Series lights or Single stage lights use DT connectors. Baja Designs (For the most part) use WP Connectors. If you have a 3 wire light (With the Amber/Multicolor background) you can use the included plug pack to either add to your lights 90% of the time, or your light will most likely already have the 3 way WP connectors on them, which will match to these harnesses.
